EPIC PINK SLED!!!!!(the beard broke my fall)

so 3 years ago my friends and i decided we wanted to go sledding. we did not have any sleds so we thought maybe we could just run and slide down the hill using noting but our bodies... turns out that doesn't really work. funny as hell though to watch your friends harm themselves physically though. anyways moving on. we had to walk about a mile to get to the hill that we were going to through ourselves off of. along the way we found a pink sled... who would have known that, that sled would become the part of many epic times ahead!

so many times did we take the sled to the hill near by and come back beaten and battered. we would try everything from running and leapin on it head first, to feet first to just straight up standing and trying to go down like a snow board kinda. it was a fast little sled...when it was going straight. The second you got the slightest bit off of track you were in for a painful ride! The edge of the sled would catch and send you flying off of it.

One night we decided that maybe because the hill was muddy we might be able to go down the hill via the sled.... not so much. We would run and leap on to the sled only to have the sled not move and we would go flying down the hill. Sadly we would keep doing this. It became a competition to see who could either fall the hardest and farthest as well as seeing who could movie the sled the farthest.. usually only a foot or two. We even thought it was so much fun that we went back with a camera and tried again! yea we are pretty dumb, and yes my face is bearded! Not one of my better moments in fashion history. ill tell you what the the beard broke many falls!

One of the more epic times with the pink sled was when Ian and I decided to walk 2 miles to a golf course and try to sled on that. The walk was almost as epic as the sledding! More so the walk back. anyways we tried out different parts of the course. There was one part that was pretty much straight down but it was covered with rocks and lead to trees. Sadly that didn't stop us from trying it. My body regreted that decision.

The final adventure with the pink sled took place last week. Sadly it wasn't even a good one. Ian and I decided we wanted to try to go back to that golf course and take it on again. Well the 3 feet of snow made that 2 mile walk nearly impossible. We got maybe about a mile into it and stalled in a field. We decided to just mess around in that field. Ian made a tunnel. i just laid there looking up at the stars and thinking about things. Once ians tunnel fell in on him it looked like a great idea to try to sled down this little field and crash into the hole that he made. well that didn't work so well. the sled barley moved due to how deep the snow was and when i got to the hole as i fell in, my ass cracked through the sled. almost breaking it in half...we took it back to ians house and throw it in his shed as a keep sake for something to look back on and reminisce on all the great times we had with it. moment of silence for the fallen sled. :(

BUT WAIT! WE HAVE HOPE! I have decided that I am going to try to fix it! How you ask?.. well simply with some spit, grit, and a whole lot of duck tape! My hopes is to have the sled ready to go by tomorrow night. If the trains are running Ian will be here and we are gong to fix it and try to sled. If he cant make it then we will try again next tuesday! Check back for a follow up blog on how the revivel efforts went!
